When she’s not working, she’s spending time with her four children, reading and hiking.

I started working early in life by helping neighbors bale hay in Lower Michigan. After graduating from high school and getting married, still married to the same wonderful woman today, I enlisted in the Air Force. My career took us to McCord AFB in Tacoma Washington, Charleston AFB in Charleston South Carolina, Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in Mons Belgium, Peterson AFB and Cheyenne Mountain AFS in Colorado Springs and Keesler AFB in Biloxi Mississippi. Most of my Air Force career was in the computer support field, which led to jobs as a Defense contractor and a Department of Defense Civilian positions in the computer support field after I retired. Last year we purchased our current home in Teller County and sold our home we’d lived in for almost 30 years in the Fountain/Widefield area. Our broker, Jude Willhoff, was wonderful and effortlessly guided us through the processes of purchasing our new home and selling our old home. Over the years I thought I’d like to try being a Real Estate Broker and with a little encouragement I got my license. Having a military background, I’ve already obtained my Military Relocation Professional (MRP) designation and look forward to helping all of my clients find the real estate they desire.

Lydia King – Administrative Assistant
Lydia grew up in Colorado Springs and spent most weekends wandering around Downtown, exploring the shops and nearby parks. Walking is one of her favorite things to do and neighborhoods, in her opinion, are the best places to explore. Bijou Properties is a family business and as the oldest granddaughter, Lydia spent many summers doing busy work and odd jobs in the name of building a resume, and enjoyed the work enough to be drawn back years later. “It’s a little different than regular customer service,” she says. “I have a chance to get to know them and their quirks, who has kids and animals, who values what and why. It’s a relationship, and it makes a world of difference in how I enjoy my job.
